Forthcoming Retirement 2025

After more than 40 years of rebuilding classic cars and then selling classic car spares, it is now time for me to put my feet up and announce that I will be retiring at midday Friday the 28th of November 2025 at which time Richmond Classics – Car Parts will close permanently.

The classic car market has changed enormously over the past 40 years along with the availability of spare parts. The journey has been both interesting and challenging with spares becoming harder to source and considerably more expensive.

Monday 8th September 2025 will be the last import date from the UK for specific order items and stock will start to run down from this date. A part number will be required for all goods and not just a description of the item. If the item you need is not in stock, it will not show as available on the website. Importing stock from the UK has become expensive since they left the European Union, and the cost to import goods under £60 is not economically viable. Items showing as kits will be sold as kits and not broken down for single items.

It’s now time for me to shuffle into the easy chair next to the range and to relax in the garden during the summer months (if we have sun that is). All being well, Jacqui and I will still go out to local classic car shows so we will see you there.
